Hannah and Dan celebrated their beautiful, laid-back wedding at the stunning Eastwood Hall in Nottinghamshire. Surrounded by their closest family, friends, and a handful of very cute dogs, their day was filled with fun, laughter, and love.

Hannah and Dan selected my half-day, 5-hour photography package, allowing me to document everything from the final pre-ceremony preparations through to their wedding breakfast.

Hannah and Dan tied the knot in the historic Old Hall before hosting their wedding breakfast in the modern adjoined Chatterley Suite.

The wedding day timeline

I arrived an hour before the ceremony to capture the quiet "before" moments and explore the venue. I met Hannah in her room, where she was getting ready alongside her mum, bridal party, and several dogs who were also preparing to walk down the aisle!

I then headed down to the ceremony room to rejoin Dan in the old hall, as guests were starting to take  their seats.

Hannah made her entrance, walked down the aisle by her mum, and the ceremony was soon in full swing, courtesy of the team at Nottinghamshire registration services.

Once Hannah and Dan had exchanged vows, we headed outside, ready for their confetti toss and group photo outside the old hall which provided a beautiful backdrop for their photos, and was convenient for all guests to participate comfortably on the day.

Natural, relaxed coupled portraits at Eastwood Hall

During the cocktail hour, I took Hannah and Dan for some relaxed couples portraits around the grounds. Eastwood Hall offers endless photo opportunities, making it a dream for any wedding photographer.

My approach to wedding photography is all about capturing authentic, natural moments. I step in to offer gentle direction when needed, but mostly step back to let you enjoy your day. I always recommend setting aside 15 to 30 minutes for portraits so you can get back to your guests as soon as possible.

The wedding breakfast and speeches at Eastwood Hall

The celebrations continued in the Chatterley Suite, where Hannah and Dan kicked off their wedding breakfast with the speeches. Having the speeches first is a great tip if you’re feeling nervous, as it means you can actually enjoy your meaL, without thinking about your speech!

I then gave everyone a break from my cameras during the food service, which then allowed a short window towards the end to capture a few final photos, before I slipped away to let them enjoy their evening.
